Why MAHE? Having studied and worked in The Chinese University of Hong Kong for some ten years, I decided to take a career break for some new inspirations and perspectives. Since I’d studied in the US before and the UK system is pretty similar to Hong Kong, I was looking for something in continental Europe where there are on-going reforms and the systems are very different from ours. The MAHE programme drew my attention because it made it possible for me to study in Germany in English. Not many Hong Kong people are aware of that. The fact that INCHER has over 30 years of research experience in Higher Education also sounds appealing to me, meaning that the professors will have a lot of practical experiences to share with us. Moreover, the truly international mix of students in the MAHE programme has broadened my understanding of “Asia” and the world. I’m happy to have made the decision to join the MAHE family and INCHER in Kassel.
